आयुर्वेद सबसे प्राचीन भारतीय चिकित्सा पद्धति है। इस प्राचीन जीव विज्ञान (आयुर्वेद) की जागरूकता और आवश्यकता को पूरे देश में देखा जा सकता है और इसके सिद्धांत एवं परंपरा रोगों के निवारण तथा सकारात्मक स्वास्थ्य को बढ़ावा देने पर बल देता है।
आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सा पद्धति गैर-संक्रामक रोगों और जीवन-शैली से उत्पंन्न रोगों के निवारण एवं उपचार में बहुत प्रभावकारी है। आयुर्वेदिक शास्त्रीय साहित्य में प्राचीन आचार्यों द्वारा शरीर और मन का शुद्धिकरण करने, रोग का उपचार करने तथा रोग के निवारण क्रमशः तीन प्रकार की उपचार पद्धतियों जैसे शोधन (पंचकर्म) चिकित्सा, पद्धति शमन (प्रशामक) चिकित्सा पद्धति और निदान परिवर्जन (रोग के प्रेरक कारकों का परिहार) का वर्णन मिलता है।
क.रा.बी. निगम बीमाकृत व्यक्तियों और उनके परिवार के सदस्यों के लिए अपने अस्पतालों और औषधालयों में चिकित्सा की आयुष पद्धति को बढ़ावा देने के लिए उचित महत्व दे रहा है। वर्ष 2015 में क.रा.बी. निगम में आयुष नीति बनाई गई, जिसमें स्थानीय जनसंख्या द्वारा इसकी वरीयता को देखते हुए क.रा.बी. अस्पतालों और औषधालयों में आयुष सुविधाओं को विस्तार देने का वादा किया गया। वर्तमान में, देश भर में 314 एककों में आयुष सेवा प्रदान की जा रही है और क.रा.बी. निगम अस्पतालों में पंचकर्म उपचार सुविधाओं का विकास आंतरिक रूप से किया जा रहा है।
